The National Best Bull of Kazakhstan Competition

Crowned a Pavlodar Aberdeen Angus Champion!

 

One of the highlights of the Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026 Kazakhstan Field Day International Specialized Exhibition and Demonstration concluded with the announcement of the Absolute Champion of the National "Best Bull of Kazakhstan" Competition.

 

Following two days of final judging in the country's premier beef cattle competition, the international judging panel awarded the title of Absolute Champion to "Archie," an Aberdeen Angus bull presented by ASTYK PV LLP (Pavlodar Region) and the Angus Kazakhstan Republican Chamber.

 

The Grand Prize—a brand-new YTO wheeled tractor—was presented to the winner by the competition's General Sponsor, AGROTECHMANAGEMENT (ATM).

 

Archie is 18 months old and currently weighs 935 kg.

The owner of the Absolute Champion, ASTYK PV LLP, is one of Kazakhstan's largest diversified agricultural enterprises. Specializing in pedigree livestock breeding, the company raises Aberdeen Angus and Kazakh White-headed (Qazaq Aqbas) beef cattle at its breeding facilities.

 

In the National Beef Cattle Competition held as part of Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026, the winners were:

• 1st Place – "Titan," presented by Akseleu LLP (North Kazakhstan Region) and the Hereford Republican Chamber;
• 2nd Place – "Bagrovy," presented by Novobratskoye & K LLP (Akmola Region) and the Kazakh White-headed Cattle (Qazaq Aqbas) Republican Chamber;
• 3rd Place – "Alau," presented by Torgay LLP (Akmola Region) and the Kalmyk Republican Chamber.

 

The competition brought together six Republican Chambers representing Kazakhstan's leading beef cattle breeds: Angus, Qazaq Aqbas, Auliekol, Hereford, Kalmyk, and Aubrac.

 

A record 89 pedigree bulls were exhibited and evaluated during the competition.

According to Anuarbek Seitmuratov, judge of the National Competition, a unified scoring system for evaluating bulls was introduced for the first time this year as part of a pilot project. The evaluation scorecard was jointly developed by experts and specialists from all of Kazakhstan's beef breed chambers and officially approved by EXPO TIME, the organizer of the exhibition.

 

The competition concluded with an open auction of pedigree cattle. According to livestock experts, bulls presented at the Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026 Kazakhstan Field Day are often sold to new owners directly at the event.

 

One of the auction's highlights was the complete sale of the Auliekol cattle brought by Arnash Farm from the Karaganda Region. The animals were sold at a record price of KZT 2 million per head.

 

According to the organizers, this year's competition marked the final edition of the Absolute Champion contest featuring bulls of all beef breeds competing against one another.

 

Beginning next year, the competition format will change. The best bulls will compete exclusively within their respective breeds, and interbreed championships will no longer be held.

 

As participants noted, this was a truly unique project for Kazakhstan, and its historic final edition closed an entire chapter in the country's pedigree livestock breeding history, securing its place as a landmark event in the history of Kazakhstan's agricultural sector.
